Structured Products are an elegant way of achieving near equity returns, but via a low volatility or risk positioning that is achieved via funded (fully or partly) protection strategies. To the extend that portfolio drawdown is limited by these derivative structures, market recovery participation is always from a higher position than the market and the higher performance at low risk.
